In Kingdom Island, your child can hang out with friends, explore the island, customize their dinosaur avatar's looks, and have fun playing mini-games.
Educational Aspects
Typing -Although the game does provide emoticons that your child can use as a method of communication, there’s also a well-moderated in-game chat system where your child will need to type out the words they want to say.
Hand & Eye Coordination -Kingdom Island utilizes a simple point-and-click mechanism to move if the game is played on the browser. Your child will get to hone their hand and eye coordination simply by moving their dino avatar around in the game.
Observational Skills -The game has a secret location that your child can find at the waterfall. It’s not very hard to spot though.
Reactions/Reflexes -There’s a pretty tricky mini-game called Blocks in Kingdom Island. In this game, your child will need to stack up the blocks as high as they could. If their tower of blocks passed a specified threshold, they will then earn some silver coins. The coins can in turn be used to buy stuff for their dino avatars.
Less Educational Aspects
Socializing -Being a social virtual world game, your child will be able to practice their social skills safely. However, the game itself has a pretty small player base, so instead of making new friends here, your kid could invite his/her friends to join them on Kingdom Island.
Creativity -The game also provides a ton of clothes, hats, accessories for your kid to customize their avatar’s appearance based on their own fashion creativity.
Note: Some items and areas are restricted since this game is free to play. To access these places or items, you'll need to get the premium version of the game/ app, Kingdom Island HD.
