Quick Brief

Put your child’s counting and adding skills to the test with Happy Pet Math: Adding Up!

Educational Aspects

Counting -Happy Pet Math is quite unlike any other math games out there. Instead of giving your child numbers to add up, he/she will first have to count the number of objects in the picture first.

Basic Math -To obtain the answer shown, your child will then need to count and add up two out of the several boxes of items given, each containing a different number of items in them.

Mental Arithmetic -Due to the time limit given as well as the increasing number of objects to count and add up, your child will definitely be subtly made to learn a unique mental arithmetic technique where they can use the arrangement of the items in each of the boxes for faster counting. This technique is particularly useful when the numbers that your child need to count expand into the two-digit range.

Less Educational Aspects

Motivation -Happy Pet Math implements the Japanese’s “Kawaii”, or “cute”, concept by creating adorably-drawn cartoon characters and items. In some way, this will, in addition to the need to complete the challenge, motivate your child to play the game.

Special Features

Pause option and a power-up-Your child can pause the game whenever they like – the screen will go blank once the pause option is tapped. There’s also a single-use, free power-up that your child can use to freeze the timer. To use it, simply tap on the clock icon right next to the timer.

Pop-up Ads -Some parents might oppose the use of pop-up ads in this game. The ads only appear after a game ends. There is currently no way to buy an ad-free version of the game.
