Fer.al is designed to be a thrilling sequel to the popular, kid-friendly virtual world game, Animal Jam, featuring a massive world to explore, lots of fun and exciting stuff to do, and many new players to meet and make friends with.

Educational Aspects

Puzzle-solving - Although not every mini-game in this game is puzzle-based, those that are can be great to develop and hone your child’s puzzle-solving skills. For example, in the assembly-line-style puzzle game, Twiggle Builders, your child will have to figure out how to best connect the supply station to the workstations and, subsequently, to the end product chute in order to solve the puzzle. There’s also the “What the Hex?” game which is a Tetris-like puzzle game where you’ll rotate runes and place them on a hex-based grid to match them up and earn combos.

Social Skills – Being a virtual world MMO, the game houses many players simultaneously, players that your child may meet and interact with while adventuring in the game. Players can chat with each other, trade goods, and even if they are friends, visit their friends’ virtual homes. As with Animal Jam, Fer.al also has all the necessary precautions and restrictions in place to keep your child safe.

Money (and Resource) Management - Playing these mini-games earn your child much coveted game currency, which they will need to purchase virtual items like new accessories for their avatars or a new piece of furniture for their home. This will encourage your child to learn how to best manage their in-game money as well as the many crafting ingredients that they will have to put some effort into gathering.

Entrepreneurship - The game also allows trading between players, which will, in turn, help kids develop a sense of commerce and perhaps even entrepreneurship.

Less Educational Aspects

Creativity - Your child will be able to unleash his or her creativity when it comes to customizing and personalizing their animal avatars in Fer.al as well as decorating their very own Sanctuary, a.k.a. their virtual home in the game. The game also encourages role-playing which is another great way for kids to express their creativity.

Special Features

Despite offering premium items and season passes, Fer.al is entirely free-to-play. No content, except exclusive and optional cosmetics, is barred from its free-to-play players.
