Quick Brief

Oh no! When Jake was trying to show Scigirl his grandpa’s champion football ring, the ring fell into the huge fish tank at the marine center. Can your child help him retrieve his ring?

Educational Aspects

Science -Aquabot teaches your child about buoyancy and how to demonstrate this concept by allowing him or her to design their very own underwater, remotely operated vehicle (ROV).

Design -Your child will be able to learn how to design an ROV that has neutral buoyancy via educated reasoning. For instance, he or she will need to decide which parts to use in order to allow the ROV to perform its function properly without compromising on the buoyancy factor.

Hand & Eye Coordination -Once completed, your child will then need to pilot the ROV in the maze-like fish tank to retrieve Jack’s ring. They will need to avoid dangerous creatures like jellyfishes and helpful sea creatures like the electric eel and fishes. Pearls can also be collected for bonus points.

Problem Solving -After an extra light was added to the ROV, your child will then need to modify their existing ROV design so that the vehicle can retain its neutral buoyancy. Your child will be able to apply what they have, or have not, learned in this extra level of the game.

Less Educational Aspects

Motivation -In this game, your child will be able pilot their very own creation (a.k.a. ROV) after building it. This can be a form of motivation for your child as they will be able to see their created ROV in action.
