Tencent Partners with Age of Learning to Launch ABCmouse English Learning Program for Children in China

Learning English as a second language becomes a whole lot easier for children in China with the newly localized ABCmouse English Learning Program! Tencent Partners with Age of Learning to Launch ABCmouse English Learning Program for Children in China

Learning English as a second language can be quite the challenge for many places in China especially the more rural areas where they lack proper English teachers. Even with good teachers, the children simply don't have as much English-based educational materials or exposure to the language as they would be if they were living in other Western countries.

Due to this, Tencent, China's biggest internet giant, is working closely with Age of Learning, the very people behind the expert-designed ABCmouse English learning curriculum, to bring and localize the ABCmouse program for the local kids. The curriculum is perfectly suitable for children between the ages of 3 to 8 years old who are learning English as a second language. Even the icon of the ABCmouse program, the animated mouse aptly called "ABC Mouse", was redesigned specifically to suit the China market.

The lessons that these children will go through are taught in a manner that mimics their native language. Starting from listening and understanding right up to writing, these Chinese children will have access to more than 5000 interactive English learning activities ranging from games to songs; and also puzzles to creative art activities.

Interestingly, speech recognition technology has also been incorporated into the program, encouraging children to record their voices as they learn to speak the words, phrases, and sentences they have learned, allowing them to gain immediate feedback when it comes to their pronunciation.

Best yet, this English learning program is further integrated into China's top instant messaging platform, QQ, as well as leading social network platform, WeChat or Weixin, making it much easier for parents and family members to follow and be involved in the child's English language learning process, offering words of encouragement of their own along the way.

The ABCmouse English learning program currently available on all major platforms for both PCs and mobile devices. You can download the app from abcmouse.qq.com and all other major app stores in China.
