Educational Benefits to Expect from Disney Dreamlight Valley

In the world of Dreamlight Valley, children will be able to explore and escape within a world where they can expect to find some of their favorite Disney and Pixar friends. According to the Disney and Gameloft game designers, the concept behind Dreamlight Valley’s map design is to make the players think about where they would expect to find some of their long-lost friends to help bring Forgotten dreams to life. Using children’s familiarity with Disney and Pixar stories, kids can start searching for Moana on a quaint Pacific island or discover Queen Elsa retreating to a hidden frosted land.

Socializing and Interacting with New Friends
In every biome, you will find and cultivate resources to help you on your quest to rebuild the village and help your new neighbors remember their past lives. By unlocking new areas, you’ll meet new friends along the way, and you can even bring them along as you discover their unique story arcs. Activities like fishing, gardening, and cooking take on new meaning as you share those experiences with your favorite characters, whether you’re cooking a dish with Ratatouille’s Remy or helping Moana rebuild her wa'a kaulua.

Applying Previous Knowledge and Practical Skills to Solve Problems
Rebuilding Dreamlight Valley and helping the characters remember aspects of their Forgotten stories requires the players to use their own knowledge of Disney and Pixar movie lore and apply them while solving in-game puzzles and building their biomes. In addition, as the players interact more with the characters and also use their creativity to design the Valley in their own image, they can acquire critical real-world skills, such as interpersonal communication, leadership, decision-making, teamwork/collaboration, task prioritizing, knowledge sharing, patience, and understanding.
